If you’re a Global Journalist subscriber (or if you know a newsstand that carries the magazine), look out for a piece by CJT chairman Nicolás A. Jiménez on page 20 of the summer 2010 issue. The article, titled The Cold War Within, is focused on the need for training and capacity building programs for Cuban journalists.
Look for Nicolás A. Jiménez's article on Cuban independent journalism in this issue of Global Journalist.
Global Journalist hasn’t posted the article online, but when it does, we’ll post an update here.
Caimán Journalism Training ha recibido otra donación anónima de memorias flash, y esta es la más grande que hemos recibido.
Esta vez, son 137 memorias flash de 2BG.
Remember: if you have any devices that you aren’t using or don’t need, you can always donate them to us. We’ll make sure they get into the hands of Cuban journalists.
For more information on Cuba Connected and how to donate, click here.
Caimán Journalism Training is auctioning off 26 books about Cuba. All of the proceeds will go to CJT, which designs and implements training and capacity building programs for independent journalists in Cuba.
The people at Babalú Blog have generously offered Caimán Journalism Training a spot at their Cuba Nostalgia booth this weekend. We’ll have a Cuba Connected bin there where you can drop off your new or used USB drives, cameras, netbooks, notebooks, audio recorders, and any other devices that might be useful to Cuba’s independent journalists. Just bring by the electronics, and we’ll make sure they get into the right hands.
